Hello Chamber Members,
I’m Danielle Huppe, a nyc born wardrobe stylist and image consultant who recently moved to Kansas City and joined The Leawood Chamber.
Through The Style Approach, I help professionals refine how they present themselves, whether that’s in the boardroom, on stage, or at client meetings, so their clothing works as hard as they do.
Why Dressing the Part Matters
Long before you speak, your appearance communicates professionalism, credibility, and confidence. First impressions linger, and the way you present yourself can open doors before a word is spoken. Whether you’re negotiating, networking, or presenting, professional style is part of your business strategy. My role is to make that process effortless and approachable for you.
I’ll be sharing insights on dressing with intention with professional style and workwear tailored to our Kansas City seasons and business culture, because what you wear should feel intentional, not stressful.
September Style Note: Dressing Smart for Transitional Weather
September in Kansas City keeps us guessing with cool mornings, warm afternoons, and unpredictable rain. The key to staying comfortable and polished is layering with breathable fabrics.
Style Strategies for the Season:
Fabric Choice Matters: Opt for lightweight wool, cotton blends, or silk layers that breathe but still look professional and keep you polished without overheating. Avoid heavy polyester, it traps heat!
Smart Layering: A lightweight blazer over a short-sleeve top lets you move from morning chill to afternoon sun with ease.
Footwear Matters: Loafers and block-heeled shoes transition well between client lunches and evening events.
Color Transition: September is the perfect bridge month. Blend lighter summer shades with early-fall hues like camel, navy, and deep green for a sophisticated seasonal shift.
Refine, Don’t Overcomplicate: Keep accessories minimal, tailoring sharp, and colors intentional.
Invest in Versatile Pieces: A great blazer, polished shoes, and well-fitted trousers will serve you at everything from client meetings to Chamber mixers.
I look forward to connecting with many of you at upcoming Chamber events.
Let’s make sure your style is working just as hard as you are.
Here’s to a confident and successful September,
